Cavaliers vs Raptors: Game 4 Preview

Cleveland Cavaliers will be entering Game 4 more cautiously than they did so on the night they lost 99-84 to the Raptors. For the first time this post-season, the Cavaliers have tasted defeat and that has lifted the feeling of invincibility which they had been showing up until now. Although Game 4 would be a test of perseverance for the Cleveland boys, they still need to shake off the previous game’s loss and show their confidence and capability that have put them as favorites for entering this season’s NBA finals. The previous match was one which the Raptors would definitely remember for a long time to come, for they put a stop to a perfect 10 game run for the Cavaliers. However, it would serve the Toronto’s better to take this victory with a pinch of salt, as Cavaliers are not ones to be knocked out and stay out cold.

The ensuing game, fourth of the finals, will be played on Monday night and there will be a lot of interesting sub-plots to look out for. Be sure to watch the match live on www.nbalivestreaming.org so as to not miss a single moment in what is definitely going to be an action-packed night. On a night that went superb for the Torontos, a spark that especially stood out was one seen in Bismack Biyombo. The Raptors will certainly need to call on Biyombo’s superb effort if they are to continue on the path they set off for in Game 3. As for the Raptor’s most consistent performer, DeMar DeRozan needs to play like he always does if Toronto hopes to edge out Cleveland in the Eastern Conference finals.

As for the Cavs, if Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love can find their footing back for the fourth game, Cleveland can hope for a fight to survive. It’s not a coincidence that the Cavs lost their first match of the postseason when both Irving and Love put out a despairing performance. This goes on to show that LeBron James alone cannot carry the team on his shoulders, and the Big Three need to come big for Game 4 if Cleveland hope to continue their stomping all over the NBA finals.

Interesting to note would be the on-court tussle between James and Biyombo, as the latter has been a consistent thorn in James’ side throughout the series. This was made obvious in the hard-foul which James received near the trim in Game 3. Another important event which needs to factored in for Game 4 is Cavaliers guard Dahntay Jones’ suspension, which will come as a blow to Cleveland. Jones was handed out a one-game suspension by NBA after striking Biyombo in the groin in Game 3, in what looked like an apparent act of frustration.

The Cavalier have enough talent and caliber packed within them to see the Eastern Conference finals through and advance to the NBA finals. However, they can’t afford to give in to frustrations and lack of play as was seen in Game 3. Watch the events unfold as it happens live, as now you can easily do live streaming of Game 4, Cleveland Cavaliers v/s Toronto Raptors, by visiting www.nbalivestreaming.org

Oklahoma Triumphed as Warriors Lost Their Footing

On Sunday night, the best offensive team of the NBA regular-season took a hit, one that has them reeling but not out of the competition. With the Thunder’s win over the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City has now established a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference finals. The Warriors looked disheveled, unorganized, and pathetically beaten at their own game. Ironically, by the time the game entered its final minutes, the look on the faces of Golden State boys were one which has regularly been seen and associated with the Warriors’ opponents throughout this season. By not only defeating the Warriors, but doing so in such a comprehensive manner, Oklahoma City Thunder has shown that they too are worthy of their opponents.

The Thunder’s performance throughout the night was one of balanced consistency seen both in the defense as well as offense, something that was ominously missing from the Warriors’ side. Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook put up a tremendously impressive display, and such superlative adjectives are nothing short of what they achieved after having drawn criticism for their Game 2 performance, specially so in the case of Westbrook. The Thunder point-guard looked like a man on a mission, and Westbrook finished the game with 30 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds.

Oklahoma City showed since the beginning that they meant business, and came onto the court looking like a team out there to help each other out and win, more than what could be said for the Warriors, who kept shooting at the basket without going for that extra pass or looking like they had a plan. The difference was there for everybody to see, as the Thunder completed 22 fast-break points in the first half, something they hadn’t done in any season in an entire game. The record on Golden State side was equally remarkable, though on the opposite tip of the scale, as they registered a poor 2-for-23 shooting score in the final 8:37 of the first half, at the end of which they were trailing the Oklahoma City by a 25 point margin with the scoreboard reading 72-47.

Any hope of reviving the game in the second half for the Golden State Warriors took a big hit when Draymond Green’s reckless lashing caught Steven Adams below the belt. The foul, Green’s second in as many games, earned him a flagrant-1, and unfortunately for the Warriors, seemed to spur Oklahoma City to an even greater conviction to win the match. The game took a downhill turn for the Warriors after that as they failed to recover from Oklahoma City’s continuous onslaught. A disappointing evening for MVP Stepehen Curry, along with equally dismayed performances from Draymond Green and Klay Thompson saw all three post a plus/minus rating of -25 or worse.

There are still four games remaining for Golden State to reclaim their place in the NBA finals, but a repeat of Sunady night’s performance is certainly not going to fetch them that title. The Warriors need to get their head straightened out for the next, but above all else, they need to hope against all hopes that the Oklahoma City Thunder don’t play even close to what they did on Sunday. With stakes so high, better not miss any action for now you can watch live streaming of all NBA matches here.

Warriors vs Thunder Game 3: Preview

The Playoffs for the Western Conference took an interesting turn after the previous season winners, Golden State Warriors, notched a 118-91 win against Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, tying the result at one game apiece. As the focus shifts on an ever important Game 3 on May 22nd, we take a look at some of the important factors and players that could result the outcome of the match come Sunday night.

Game 3 would see Thunder hosting the match in their home turf, and would hope to thwart the Warriors from winning the game and securing an important lead in the road to the NBA Finals. The stakes are running high, as the Golden State Warriors have a chance to snatch back their home-court advantage if they manage to win on the road, while a win for the Oklahoma City Thunder will see them only two games away from defeating the best regular-season team in the history of NBA.
The Golden State saw their first match of the Western Conference final end in a defeat. However, they bounced back with an impressive victory in Game 2 that reflected their phenomenal 73-9 win/loss record in the regular-season. Stephen Curry, Warriors’ Most Valuable Player (MVP) put out an outstanding performance in Wednesday’s game, and when he gets going there is hardly anything the opposition can do to stop him. Game 2 was a highlight of how well Curry had been performing all season through, and his 28 points on just 15 field-goal attempts and his score of 15 points in a span of less than 2 minutes in the third quarter was a reflection of that performance.

Oklahoma would hoping against all odds that Curry falls short of his spectacular form in Game 3 of the finals, otherwise they could be seeing their hopes of reaching the NBA Finals slip out of their fingers. In Game 1, Oklahoma City did well in fielding a physical side that defended well, with Russel Westbrook putting out a resounding performance for that night. The Oklahoma City fans would look towards Westbrook to put up a similar display in Game 3 after a fairly ineffective outing in Game 2. His 27 points and 12 assists were good numbers that helped Thunder notch their victory against the Warriors in Game 1, but that was followed by a poor 16 points in 14 shots in Game 2. With him lacking in performance, Oklahoma’s defeat in the second game was hardly a surprise.
But even if Oklahoma find their mojo back in Game 3, they can hardly be one to stop a team of Warriors’ capabilities if the Golden State boys hit the ground running from the start. It’s not without reason that Stephen Curry became the first ever player to unanimously be selected for the MVP award, as it came after perhaps one of the greatest ever offensive season in NBA history.

All said and done, the match between the Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder promises to be one of intense display as both team intends to take the game to the final match.

Raptors Vs Cavaliers: The Cavs Run Riot On The Court

The NBA Playoffs for the Eastern Conference continues to see the Cleveland Cavaliers keeping up with their domination of the game. Their latest outing saw them comprehensively beat the Toronto Raptors with the scoreboard reading 108-89 at the blow of the final whistle. With this victory, the Cavaliers have taken a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals, and more impressively have registered a remarkable 10-0 during the 2016 postseason. The fact that the Raptors, who lost by a margin of 19 points, actually improved on their last outing with the Cavaliers (115-84) is an indication how good the Cleveland boys have been on court.

The defending Eastern Conference champions extend their winning streak to 10 games with the win in their home turf, and the big three of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love had a large part to play in this impressive display of form. LeBron James even registered a triple-double in the match against the Raptors, and his athleticism was gracefully in display when he snatched the ball at the edge of his own court and then swept across the length of the court leaving all players behind, finishing  the move with a thumping reverse dunk.

Even as James looms over the team as an imposing figure, it is the team’s entire performance as a whole that has led the Cavaliers firing on all cylinders this season. Irving led the score tally with a total of 26 points to his name, while Love contributed 19 points of his own to take their combined total to 45 points. If this team continues on the path they are currently on, and by all means they hardly seem to be slowing down, the Cavaliers could well see themselves play in the NBA Finals.
The Toronto Raptors chose to field a more physical side, in an attempt to slow James down, but the Ohio born man proved just too hot for them to handle. DeMar DeRozan was the only player from the Raptors’ side, which otherwise looked like a team disheveled. His 22 points and five rebounds, however, fell well short of what was required to beat a team as spirited as the Cavs. His backcourt mate Kyle Lowry tallied 10 points on a measly 4-of-14 shooting from the field and 1-of-8 shooting from three-point range. His display in this second finals of the Eastern Conference was a disappointing one, as more was expected from the point guard who averaged 21.2 points per game this season.

The first period was a closely fought contest, with the Cavaliers just edging out the Raptors leading the score 30-28. However, it was all LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers second quarter onwards, as they finished the second period with a commanding 62-48 halftime advantage to their name. The Cavaliers continued to extend their lead in the second half of the game, as the Raptors struggled to keep up with their rivals during this half. The match was effectually over by the end of the third quarter, as the Cavaliers entered the final quarter of the game with a 17 point advantage. The match ended 108-89, with LeBron James registering a triple-double by securing his 10th rebound of the game in the final quarter of the match.
